Derminator® 2 digital dermaneedling cartridge (single needle). Needle diameter 0.15 mm. (38 SWG, 34½ AWG). Gamma-sterilized. The needles are made of surgical steel and do not contain nickel. 100 years sterility is possible when that does not happen.
A single-needle cartridge is very useful for treating narrow scars such as certain stretch marks. Also, any time you need to treat a very small skin area, a single needle is a much more accurate choice.
This is the only cartridge that works properly with the Derminator® 2, and this cartridge does not work with the Original Derminator (sold before March 2018). If you're looking for the older model's cartridges, please contact our support.
Bajonet fitting. Align the slots in the cartridge with the protrusions on the tip of the hand unit, push the cartridge on and while pushing, rotate the cartridge right a quarter turn until you start to feel resistance, then stop turning at the point of maximum resistance.
Cartridge lifetime depends on needling frequency, treatment duration, number of treatments and skin thickness. When treatment starts to be more painful or the machine starts to have trouble reaching the set depth, the needles have become blunt and it is time to replace the cartridge.
Cartridges should ideally NOT be reused but can be reused on only the SAME patient after disinfection with Isopropanol or Chloramine-T according to our instructions. Do not use Dettol - it contains chloroxylenol, which can dislodge the needles. Also do not use Hydrogen peroxide - it will embrittle the plastic, leading to failure.

DUE TO THE FAST IN/OUT SPEED AND THE THINNESS OF THE NEEDLE, THIS NEEDLE, WHEN MOVING, WILL USUALLY BE INVISIBLE (ALSO DUE TO THE STROBOSCOPIC EFFECT UNDER ARTIFICIAL LIGHT). IT ALSO IS NEARLY PAINLESS SO YOU WILL OFTEN NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO FEEL IT. SO SOME PEOPLE THINK IT IS FAULTY. VERIFY THAT ALL IS OK BY NEEDLING A PIECE OF TAUT PAPER ON 1.5 MM NEEDLING DEPTH AND NOTICE THE HOLES AGAINST A BRIGHT LIGHT.
